Every year millions of adoptable cats and dogs are euthanized at animal shelters.

MO4PAWS is dedicated to rescuing and saving the lives of dog and cat companion animals from high-kill shelters, abandoned by their owners, and those living in inhumane conditions at commercial breeding facilities & puppy mills.

Meet the MO4PAWS Cats available for Adoption

The MO4PAWS ADOPTION PROCESS

Please fill in your information so we can schedule an introductory consultation call or meeting in person.

Adopters must be 18 or older with valid state-issued photo ID.
We do require all potential adopters to fill out and sign the MO4PAWS Adoption Application form.
We do require all potential adopters to review all of our requirements on the MO4PAWS Adoption Application.
MO4PAWS will look over your Adoption Application.
Once the Adoption Application is approved, we will schedule a home visit.
You will get an opportunity to meet with the animal(s) and get a sense of their personality.
We offer a 7-14 day home trial with the animal(s) to ensure this is a compatible match and the right home.
We will require you to pay the Adoption Donation fee and sign the MO4PAWS Adoption Contract.
*After the 7th day, the donation will be non-refundable.
If you opt to forgo the 7 day trial period, the donation is final.

The MO4PAWS Foster Program

If you aren’t able to adopt at this time, you can sign up for the Foster Program. The Foster Program is where you would agree to temporarily home one of our dogs or cats while we find them their forever home. MO4PAWS will provide the necessary supplies so you are not financially responsible for the animal.

MO4PAWS ADOPTION Donation fee

Adoption costs are between $150-$300 for a cat or kitten

Adoption costs are between $450-$800 for a dog or puppy.

*This is a tax exempt donation made in honor of each rescue.

The Adoption Donation Covers:

Veterinary wellness visit and exam
Spaying or neutering
*Exception regarding the age of animal. Animals need to be of the appropriate age to get spayed or neutered. If the animal isn’t of age yet for the procedure, you will need to provide spay or neuter services at the appropriate age. This is a must, and a requirement in our adoption contract.
DHPP/DHLPP vaccination
FVRCP or FVRCCP vaccinations
Bordetella vaccination
Rabies vaccination
Flea/tick treatment and preventative
Deworming
Heartworm Test
All cats over six months are tested for FIV
Microchip
Leash and Collar
